Need a Candidate Page, Fast?

Democracy and Education asked web developer Francisco Rafart if he would create a couple of web site designs that school board candidates could launch quickly and professionally with information, photos, and videos for a reasonable price.

We think he has come up with two fantastic designs—one is a multi-page design with the ability to post blogs. The other is a clean one-page design. For $300, Francisco will work with you on colors and help you get set up—and then hand you the keys. You drive it yourself from then on. It is built on the Squarespace platform, and you just pay the monthly fee to them.

Anyone who has looked into the cost of setting up a web site—or who has built one from scratch—will appreciate the work Francisco has done for Schoolboard Ready. There are other services out there for candidates, but they are geared to partisan campaigns with a lot more money than school board candidates tend to have. This was built specifically for school board candidates who are standing up for public education and democracy.
